It can be intimidating to have a dress made for you without being able to try it on in person, but I’m here to help with any questions or worries you may have. I’ll send mock-ups, samples, and sketches to make sure your dress fits perfectly. I’m committed to creating a dress that leaves you beaming on your special day.

Dreams, inspiration, plans

The first step is a complimentary consultation, which is done over video chat.
First of all – I want to get to know all about you! We will chat through your ideas, look at your inspirations and any Pinterest moodboards you may have created.
I will sketch out a rough idea of the dress, provide a quote for you, which will be emailed out after the appointment.
If you would like to move on to the next stage, you will receive a contract. This contract specifies the design, the end date and payment instalment information. A non refundable deposit of 25% which will be required to secure your date.

MEASUREMENTS AND FITTING PROCESS

If you decide to go ahead, you will be sent a list of measurements and a comprehensive guide on how to take these measurements. These individual measurements will then be used to create a pattern tailored to your body.
A cotton mock up called a ‘toile’ will be made which is the basic silhouette for your design and will be sent to you by post. Please note the next 25% instalment will be required before toile is sent.
Once received we will then have a remote fitting over video chat and if you could have someone else there to assist with fitting instructions, take pictures, and then you will post the toile back.
The pattern will be adjusted until it fits perfectly – normally over 1-2 remote fittings.
The dress is then made from the perfected toile and will be created in final fabrics.
Outstanding balance will be required before the dress is posted off with an aim for it arrive to at least 1 month before wedding date.

The cost of bespoke wedding dress generally start from £1700, depending on the complexity of the design and the fabrics chosen plus postage costs.
Creating custom bridal wear is a labor of love that takes time, patience, and skill. To ensure I can give each dress the attention it deserves, I can only accept a certain number of commissions in a year.
As I design and tailor to the individual bride you will receive a bespoke quote after our first consultation.

Usually the process will take 9 months depending on your timeframe for a remote bride as we need to factor in postage times. We will normally have 2 remote fittings and I like to make sure the dress is with you at least 1 month before your wedding date. Please still get in contact if you have a shorter timeframe as I may be able to still fit you in.
